Key Rules and Tips for Using Big E-Z Books – Desktop Version

Here’s a list of key rules and tips for using Big E-Z Books:

  • Do not move any Big E-Z files. Don’t rename or delete any tabs or files of Big E-Z Books
  • Enter your transactions in the blank/white cells throughout the system
  • Your entries save automatically when entered
  • Use Copy and Paste to move data from one cell to another
  • Do not use the Cut command
  • To clear contents of a cell, click the cell and use the Backspace button
  • The shaded cells are locked and cannot be modified
  • Backup your files weekly by clicking Workbook List, right-click the workbook Name, and choose Create Backup
  • Use your Ctrl-right arrow buttons to quickly scroll right
  • Use your Ctrl-Home buttons to quickly get to the top of any sheet
  • Comment cells have red flags located throughout the system with detailed instructions
  • Reports will print up to the first blank row in column B on the Deposits, Checks, and Cash&Charges, so make sure you have some characters entered in column B or the Bank Balance will not compute
  • Do not delete the Sample Company workbook as you may want to refer to it in the future
